This has been a good,
busy, crazy week! Last Monday Elder Crowder and
I were put into a trio with Elder Lindsay, so we moved into their flat
in another part of Chelmsford on Monday. Things have been up in the
air and all over the place, but everything's worked out well in the
end, so we're happy.
Lots of miracles have happened this week! We thought finding as a trio
would be really difficult and ineffective, but we've found out how to
make it work! We've found several really good people so far, and we'll
be teaching one of them today, so we're excited for that!
A former investigator named Blaise got back in contact after a long
time, and he wants to meet again! We thought we had his address for
the appointment, but then we showed up and realized that we'd mixed up
the addresses and didn't actually have his address. We were about to
go with our back-up plan when he called us and told us where we could
meet him - he's going to visit his family for a few weeks, but when he
gets back he would love to be taught. Miracle!!
We were finally able to sit down and talk with Lisa and her family,
and they loved talking with us. Her son wasn't ever baptized, so we
introduced him to the Book of Mormon and invited him to read a passage
from it before we see them again. We're excited to see the gospel
begin to work in their lives!
We were hoping to see Tina more this week, but she never picked up the
phone or answered our texts. We thought that since she told us she was
also meeting with the Jehovah's Witnesses, they might've given her
some anti-Mormon stuff. We finally called Tina's friend, Laura, and
asked her about Tina. She was able to get in contact with her for us
and told us that Tina was still interested and wanted to come to
church the next day. She couldn't come in the end because her son got
sick Sunday morning, but we're glad that she's still interested!
Love y'all and hope you have an amazing week!

Funnies of the Week:
We had flat inspections this week. We had to clean both flats - our
original flat in Chelmsford and the Maldon elders' flat. Cleaning our
flat in Chelmsford was a breeze, but the Maldon flat was difficult.
There was a gigantic cobweb up in the top corner of the ceiling
(that's been there since I served there 2 years ago) that we had to
get cleaned up, but we couldn't reach it, not even with a chair. So we
got our broken ironing-board legs, taped them together, twisted an old
wire hanger onto the end, stood on a chair, and managed to get it out
of the corner. In addition, right before the Senior couple arrived to
inspect the flat, we walked into the flat to find that a cupboard door
had fallen off its hinges and onto the utensils that had been drying.

We went to the Fagg family's home this week -
I went to their home on my first full day in the mission field,
July 17, 2014. They found a Utah State flag for us, too!
