We've had another great week here in Chelmsford! We're still working on building up our teaching pool, but we're getting there.
We went to Chelmsford Museum as a district last P-day! There were lots of displays about electricity and ball bearings, so I had loads of fun! Today we're going to play pool (as in billiards, not swimming. Don't worry, we're obedient. :) ), so we're looking forward to that too! We have an awesome district!
We've had some good finding this week! Our district leader came finding with us one day, and we had some good gospel conversations come from that. In particular, we found two good people this week: C and R. We found C on Wednesday in a park close to city center. She told us that she'd been looking for a way to rekindle her faith, so she was excited to meet up. MIRACLE! Then we found R on Saturday, and it was amazing how prepared he was. He had those questions that the Plan of Salvation answers: where did I come from? What is my purpose here? What's going to happen after I die? He also told us that his wife had been asking those questions too, and he asked if we could come to his home to help them find answers! MEGA MIRACLE!
Our ward mission leader has been working hard this week too! He's been hosting missionary firesides in his home so that our recent converts, less-actives, and investigators can come learn more about the gospel in his home as well as build friendship with the missionaries and other members. It's been working really well so far, so we're excited to continue it!
This week, I also learned about the importance of the section called "How to Begin Teaching" in chapter 10 of Preach My Gospel. We've been trying and trying to get a hold of our investigator, J, but he doesn't respond very much. On the other hand, he talks pretty frequently with the ward mission leader, who invites him to church and to his home for missionary firesides. Elder Jackson and I were talking about this, and we thought that maybe the reason why he doesn't keep very good contact with us is because we've never had the chance to sit down, talk with J, and establish a teaching relationship with him. Because we haven't been able to do this, he doesn't understand our purpose in trying to get in contact with him. As missionaries, we need to help our investigators understand our purpose and expectations, or else we won't be able to work with them very effectively.
Sunday went really well too! We got to teach the Elders Quorum lesson about the sacrament, and then we got went to Ward Choir after church. I also got to see an investigator - now recent convert - that I taught a year and a half ago! She's doing really well and is staying active!
One final miracle: E from my previous area just got baptized!! I'll be sending a picture :) C from my last area should've been baptized as well - I'll send more news next week.
Love y'all and hope you had a great week!

Funnies of the Week:
That moment when a bird chirps above you and you hear a splat. Elder Jackson was not happy.
E with the Godivala family before her baptism!
(They're the family that had us over when I skyped you last Christmas)
