Week 79: Trios and Transfers

January 5, 2016

This has been a good, interesting, miraculous week! One of the biggest
differences this week was that we were serving in a trio! The other
missionary we've been serving with is Elder Veiga from Brazil! His
companion ended his mission last week, so he came to serve with us
until transfers. He is such a great missionary!

Unfortunately, the time has come for him to go, along with my
companion, Elder Moulton. Elder Moulton is going to Lowestoft, Elder
Veiga is going to Kettering, and I'm staying in Aylesbury! My new
companion will be Elder Masuku from South Africa! I'm super excited
not only because he's a great missionary, but because he's from my
group in the MTC! We're going to have a great transfer here in
Aylesbury!

While Elder Veiga's been here, we've had a mission blitz, where all
the missionaries in the mission went finding on the same day at the
same time. Elder Veiga selected a street he wanted to tract for that
blitz, and we found SO many great people on that road! We've seen so
many miracles in finding new people to teach this week!

We had another miracle this week when we were teaching our new
investigator, C, in a restaurant near her home. We decided that we
were going to finish teaching her the Word of Wisdom that day. The
first miracle was that C's mother, J, decided to come to the
appointment because she said she felt she needed to be there, so that
was amazing! Also, they'd both ordered coffee when the lesson began,
but as we taught them about the Word of Wisdom, they started sipping
it less and less. They loved and agreed with everything that we were
sharing with them. At the end of the lesson, they both committed to
live the Word of Wisdom! Miracle!

One final miracle is about our friend, E, who'd been meeting with the
missionaries in Germany. We've had several good lessons with her this
week, including one where we were able to set some New Year's
resolutions with her about growing spiritually this year, but my
favorite experience with E this week was when we went finding with
her! She'd been telling us that she wanted to go knock some doors with
us, so we arranged a big blitz on Sunday with the sister missionaries
and E's member friend, J. She texted us later on saying that she loved
it! She also bore her testimony earlier that day for Fast and
Testimony meeting! She is SO good!!!

Thanks everyone for reading! Hope everybody has a great week!
