We're super excited for Christmas next week!! We're going to a Christmas Conference tomorrow with the rest of our zone and another zone of missionaries in London! These next few weeks are going to be so great!
Last Monday was really good - we went to the Sheppards' home for Family Home Evening, and it was awesome!! We had so much fun with them! We got to teach them a good self-reliance lesson since they were already working on the Church's most recent booklet about it. They're amazing!
I'm getting really close to earning a British driver's license! I've been taking lots of driving lessons, so hopefully I'm ready by the time of the test! I thought it wouldn't be a problem to pass this, but it's super strict and I'm WAY out of practice. Hope it all goes well!
I gave a training on Wednesday about member-present lessons, and it went so well! It wasn't perfect, but I was happy with how it worked. I could definitely see Heavenly Father's hand in my training - ideas would simply come to mind that would be perfect for the training, it all came together perfectly, and I was able to present the training confidently!
On Thursday, we went to visit a less-active part-member family, but the father needed to sleep that morning, so we went tracting. We knocked on one door and the man, just a few years older than us, started telling us as soon as he opened the door that he didn't want to listen and that we should go. Elder Moulton asked him a good, genuine question though, which started a great conversation and really helped him open up. The man even started asking questions about us and what we were doing, and we got really friendly with him. Seed planted! Asking good, genuine questions really does help!
Our ward had a missionary activity on Saturday - we all went caroling together in town center! While we caroled, the Primary kids handed salt-dough Christmas ornaments we'd previously made and attached to an "A Savior Is Born" card and a slip of paper with instructions to make more salt-dough ornaments. All the ward members who came had a great time - R and his nan both came to the activity and had a great time! We also gave out over 200 of those ornaments with cards attached! We'll be going around town handing out some of those ornaments as well, so that should go really well!
The Sheppard family also invited us to watch the First Presidency's Christmas Devotional at their home yesterday, which was AMAZING!! I loved how Elder Bednar personalized Samuel the Lamanite's prophecy of the Savior's birth, and I really enjoyed President Uchtdorf's talk about light!
The miracle for this week comes from our lesson with a new investigator, C. We had a pretty good lesson with her, and she definitely felt the Spirit when we showed her the Book of Mormon, especially when we showed her the picture of Jesus Christ visiting the people in the Americas. She accepted a baptismal date for January 16!!
That's everything for this week! I won't be able to email for about 2 weeks from now, so hope everybody enjoys this letter! I should be sending a good video clip from our Christmas Conference that you should all enjoy! Have a very Merry Christmas!!!

Funnies of the Week
E, one of our investigators, told us a story about a crazy old woman she knew who didn't want to be taken by the police. She'd become a danger to the community, so the police came one day to take her away. She started spraying them with bleach and beating them with her cane, so they called for backup. A riot truck arrived, and they broke down her door. The whole neighborhood watched as the old woman shuffled out with her walker. She even left booby traps in her home - wool strings tied across the flat.
