This has been one of the craziest weeks of my mission! I worked in Hemel Hempstead for a day while my companion went to a Super Mission Leader Conference (MLC), we had a last-minute call for a baptismal interview in Watford on Thursday, I had a last-minute call from the doctor on Friday saying that they were available that day to see me, and then we helped set up and then enjoyed an awesome ward activity on Saturday. So much going on!!
HOWEVER, we had some awesome miracles happen this week. One of my favorites was when we met with our investigator, R, and his recent convert nan, M. He's been progressing so much, and he's been waiting for his nan to get back to Aylesbury before he committed to baptism, so now that she's back, he accepted a baptismal date for November 7th! So good!!
We had a REALLY good training at district meeting this week about "attitude determines altitude." The sister missionary giving the training talked about all the things that get us down and helped us realize that these things don't HAVE to bring us down - we choose whether or not they do. She also brought up lots of scriptures in the Book of Mormon that teach us how we can have joy and help others to have it. In the middle of what seemed like a hectic week, that was EXACTLY what I needed to hear! I know Heavenly Father is watching over us and giving us the guidance we need! He loves us!
Sorry that there's not too much this week, but hope everybody's doing well and staying happy back home!
