Week 57: 我叫高高 (My name is "Tall"!)

Our Chinese friends here in Norwich have given me a Chinese name - gao gao! Translated into English, that's "tall tall". Google translate seems to think that "gao gao" means "high high", but it's really "tall tall". Our friends are teaching me loads of mandarin!!

We've had an amazing week here in Norwich! The zone leaders serve in the same area as we do, and they just had a baptism this past week too, which went really well! There's going to be another baptism this Sunday with the sisters in our area, so we're really excited for that too! We're seeing loads of miracles here!

This week, Elder Opiyo and I decided to focus on contacting the potential investigators we had. We had a cool miracle over the weekend when Elder Opiyo decided to contact this one potential investigator he'd found before I arrived in the area. He invited Chris, the potential investigator, to come to Church the next day, and he agreed! He even walked to Church since he was close enough, and he had a great experience! There was a lot he didn't understand, but we had a good lesson with him afterwards with some recent converts, and he accepted a baptismal date of August 29th! Always follow promptings!

We saw another miracle when our investigator, P___, invited three of her friends to come to Institute with us and all the Young Single Adults! They wanted to learn more by the end of the night, so we're hoping to meet them again soon!

We have a lot of YSA that we go to Family Home Evening with every Monday evening, and last week, there was a young family who wanted to come and help out. Their two little daughters got up in front of everyone and sang some Primary songs all by themselves, and then they gave out some muffins and cookies! There are some amazing people here in Norwich!
