Week 54: Best 20th Birthday Ever!

Thanks to everyone who wished me a happy 20th birthday!!!! It was an
amazing day, and I'm so grateful to everyone who made it so great! I
was just getting out of the shower when my companion sprayed me with
silly string - he says it's a tradition he's had throughout his
mission with all of his companions - and then he surprised me with a
stack of American candy a member from the ward got for us! We went to
subway for lunch, and I tried a new sandwich, called the chicken
pizziola, which was awesome! Loads of the members said happy birthday
over Facebook, and some of the missionaries and senior couples in our
zone called to sing happy birthday! We had a dinner appointment that
night, and my companion secretly told them that it was my birthday, so
they got their kids to help make a cake for me! On our way back to the
flat, we also ran into an Portuguese family we taught a few months ago,
and after a good chat they said they'd come to our ward BBQ the next
day! It was an awesome birthday!

The next day was awesome too! We had a great time at the BBQ, and the
Portuguese family came! The Stake President was there and speaks
their language, so he was able to have a great conversation with them!
A senior couple in our zone also came over to Dereham to give us
cupcakes for my birthday! We had another dinner appointment that
night, and the family made us a special dinner! I love Dereham!

Lots of good things have been happening in our area as well. We've
been trying to find a solid fellowshipper for the Lithuanian family we're
teaching, and they just clicked really well with a family at the ward
BBQ this week! We had a great lesson with the family yesterday at the
members' home - we're hoping this will help them to start progressing
again. Our other Lithuanian investigator came to Church yesterday as
well, and he told us he felt really good when he was there! We just
need to be more bold in extending a baptismal date now.

This is Elder Thornton's last final week, and we have loads of good
stuff planned for it. He's gotten really close with lots of the
members, and they all want to say bye before he goes. It's going to be
a great week!

Hope everyone has an amazing week!
