This has been an interesting week here in Dereham, but there have been loads of good things going on. While we were finding this week, we happened to run into a young man about our age walking down the street. Everything about him just seemed to scream "NOT INTERESTED", but we decided to stop him anyway. He used some colorful language at first, but when we started talking to him about the Book of Mormon, he accepted an invitation to meet and learn more. Remember: the Lord looks on the heart!
We had two other huge miracles this week. The first happened when we were rushing back to catch our bus back to Dereham from a place called Watton. Just when we were in the biggest rush to catch that bus, the most prepared people were placed on our path. We had a great gospel conversation with a young family about how the gospel had blessed our families, and a German man stopped us and asked us where our Church was so that he could come!
My favorite miracle this week had to do with a potential investigator we found at the beginning of the transfer. She didn't really want to talk to us at first, but it turned into a good gospel conversation, and even though she told us she didn't have any time to meet with us, we left her a Mormon.org card with our phone number. Then, earlier this week, we received her name in a media referral! She wants a copy of the Book of Mormon!! MIRACLE!!!!
Those are the highlights for this week, hope everything's been going well for everyone back home! Love y'all!
Funnies of the Week:
We walked past this one yard that was absolutely FILLED with statues and lawn gnomes. Not a square-inch of space left unoccupied.
A returned missionary in our ward was telling us that he'd requested to be sent somewhere where the women wore grass skirts. So he was sent to Scotland, where the men wore grass skirts.
Elder McOmber
We both got the stomach flu - feeling much better now
