Week 35: Ia Sas (Hello in Greek)

March 2, 2015

This has been a great week here in Dereham! We found a really good Greek woman this week that we're meeting tomorrow, so we've been asking around for how to speak a little Greek. What we've learned so far is:
Ia sas - Hello
Ti kanek - How are you doing?
Na perasete kala - Have a great day
We're excited to begin teaching her tomorrow!

We had miracle this week when we were contacting one of our solid investigators that we'd lost contact with. We've stopped by a few times before and never found her home, and we tried again this week with the same result. As we were walking away, the thought came that we needed to go back. I tried to reason to myself that we'd just knocked a few times already and that even if she were home, we were only going to annoy her, but the thought persisted and we decided to go back and knock again. Aaaaand guess what happened: she answered the door!! She'd been going through a rough time, but we were finally able to begin to talk to her again. MIRACLE!

We had a great Zone Meeting this week, and we learned a cool way of using our planners better so that we can help our investigators come to Church more. This week is Zone Conference, so we're super excited for that!

We taught Gospel Principles this week at Church, and one of the less-active members we've been working with finally came to Church! He got really involved with the lesson, so we're excited to see how he'll progress!

Sorry that it's not as long as it could be, but I hope you all enjoy this letter! Hope everyone has a fantastic week!

Funnies of the Week:

We taught Primary this week, and one of the kids would raise his hand to every question we asked and say, "It would MELT!"

Flat tire!

Fixed!
