Week 34: Great week in Derehem!

February 23, 2015

This has been a great week here in Dereham! The members here are awesome! They'll confirm appointments with us before we get the chance to confirm with them, they're super supportive of missionary work, and they're just strong and faithful people in general! I love Dereham Ward!

I had another really good exchange this week with my District Leader, who helped me find out how I can plan faster and better as well as how I can study more effectively. I'm grateful for inspired leaders!

We had a miracle finding this week when we went out into a place called North Tuddenham to contact a member referral. Of course, it wasn't until we got there that we realized we didn't have the exact address for the referral, so we began tracting the road that we knew she was on. We weren't able to find her, but we found an amazing, super prepared potential investigator, R, who wanted to come to Church and wanted to meet with us again! MIRACLE!

One of our investigators, S, came to Church this Sunday. She's been having a hard time committing to act on what she's learned, but she said she felt prompted to come to Church that week. It was Ward Conference, and one of the members gave a talk that was EXACTLY what S needed to hear. It's amazing to see how the Spirit works with our investigators.

We have a few people we're working with who are really close to baptism, but they all have some concern or other that's keeping them from making the final step. Resolving their concerns has really helped me realize the importance of the Book of Mormon - that if it's true, then Joseph Smith must have been a prophet, that he was called of God, and that this is His only true and living Church on the face of the earth. I'm so grateful for the Book of Mormon for being the foundation of my testimony, because no matter what doubts come or what fears I have, knowing that it is true has and will help me get through whatever "shafts in the whirlwind" come my way.

Hope it's starting to warm up back in Utah! Have a great week!
