Week 32: I'm being transferred!

February 10, 2015

I'm being transferred! My new companion's name is Elder Hart (pretty sure he's from America, sounds like he's around 6'4" - we might still be the tallest companionship in the mission), and I'll be serving in a place called Dereham! It's in the northernmost zone in the England London Mission (called the Norwich Zone), so I'm gonna be FAAAR away from London soon! I'm DEFINITELY gonna miss it!

We've had a lot of snow this week, and some of it actually stuck to the ground for a few hours! I wasn't able to get any pictures though because my camera batteries died and I haven't been able to find any AA batteries at the store. Sorry!

It's been crazy in the London North Ward this past transfer - the Sister Training Leaders have found and baptized two people this transfer alone! All the ward leaders were calling us to make sure that the boiler worked (it was broken during our last baptism and the water was freezing cold because of it), and thankfully it actually did, so all went well for their second baptism.

We've had some amazing things happen this week! We've had some great first appointments with some new investigators this week. My favorite was our appointment with T, a Christian woman from Russia. There was a bit of a language barrier throughout the lesson, but at the end when we showed her Moroni's promise, we could tell that she actually really wanted to know. We committed her to pray about the Book of Mormon and Joseph Smith, and we're really excited to see what she thinks when we see her at Church on Sunday!

We had another amazing miracle happen just yesterday. We found a new investigator, named F, one to two months ago and have had patchy contact with him since then. We finally arranged to meet yesterday in the chapel, where we gave him a chapel tour and began teaching him more about the Restoration. He was SOOOOO prepared and SOOOO ready to commit - it was amazing! He's now on date for March 8th! MIRACLE!

Hope you're all enjoying the warm weather and sun in Utah! Things are looking pretty grey-t here in England (great pun, right?)! Love you all and hope you have an amazing week!
