Week 23: Chilly!

December 8, 2014

Ahhh!! The temperature has DROPPED this week! Definitely going winter shopping this week!

This has been a hard yet good week here in London North. The week started off with a really good Zone Conference and a really good Zone Leader exchange. Even though I was having a stressful time on the exchange, I learned a lot from the Zone Leader, and I've been able to do better as a missionary because of him. We definitely learn from the hard times on our missions.

Our investigator, N, has gone through another rollercoaster of life, but has again come closer to baptism. He's getting close to quitting tobacco and tea, and we've set his baptism for the end of December! He really does want this and really is excited for it, and we're excited to help him make his date!

Something cool I did this week was ride on a red double-decker bus from the 60s! We were just sitting at our number bus stop when it drove up! I wasn't able to get any pictures, but they gave us these cool tickets they've been using since that time.

Hope you're all enjoying the snow back in Utah! Write me!

Elder McOmber

Funnies of the Week:

The other elders in our district always tell us that they get all the crazy people. My companion and I always just laugh it off, but then I went on an exchange with them. Those crazy people really are just attracted to them. We got somebody telling us that I was an Edomite and then somebody else telling us that the government was broadcasting their thoughts on the radio and tv. These people really are out there.

My companion and I were just walking down the street the other day when we noticed someone carrying around this GIGANTIC Toblerone. It was seriously about 3 feet long and as thick around as my palm. I know what I want for Christmas. :)

We were calling some potential investigators in our Area Book when we noticed on of the names: "Isreal". As we were calling him, I couldn't stop thinking of the hymn, "Israel, Israel, God is Calling".

Both of our extra chairs broke so my companion found another way to study at his desk!
