Week 24: Two miracles this week!

December 15, 2014

Short letter this week with two miracles!

First Miracle: the other elders were walking down the street in the dark when one of them noticed a wallet on the ground. They asked us the next day if we could return it to the address they found inside the wallet, so we went and knocked on the person's door to give it back. He was super grateful that we returned his wallet, and he tried to offer us money in return. We of course couldn't take it, so he invited us in instead and offered us coffee. When we told him we didn't drink coffee, he offered us tea. We laughed a little and asked if we could get a glass of water. We sat down and started talking with him, and we found out that he came to the UK from Iran and that he was already investigating Christianity. We told him that that's exactly what we help people do, and we set a return appointment for Tuesday! As we were walking out the door, he told us that he was sure that this was a sign from God that he met us. MIRACLE!

Second Miracle: we were walking to contact a less-active member of the ward when we stopped a woman and started talking to her about Christmas. She was really interested and actually happened to know the less-active member that we were trying to contact. She'd even been invited to Church one time by the less-active we were going to contact! She told us that she wanted to meet with us so we could tell her more, so we set a return appointment. We're seeing her tomorrow as well! TALK TO EVERYONE!

Thanks for reading! Hope you all enjoy the snow back in Utah! Write me!

Funnies of the Week:

None of the missionaries who've been out for over a year have seen Frozen, so they're all fighting over who gets to watch the DVD first.
