We got a special treat here in the England London Mission - Elder Quentin L. Cook came this week to talk to us! Elder Cook served here a few years ago in what was then the British Mission, so he enjoyed coming back to see the country where he served not so long ago. When he entered and started the meeting, he asked if he could shake every missionary's hand, so we all went row-by-row to go up and shake his hand! The England London South Mission was there as well, so Elder Cook probably shook the hands of around 500 missionaries! He shared a great message with us about his experiences here in this mission and left his blessing upon us and our friends and families as we serve here. After Elder Cook had finished speaking, the Assistants gave us a special training about a new hastening of the work this year. If you haven't heard about it yet, you'll hear about it soon. And the Spirit will hit you like a ton of bricks when you do.
At the Elder Cook Conference, I saw Elder Fiso from Utah! I probably haven't seen him for 3 or 4 years, so it was awesome to see him again! I also saw Elder Farley there, one of my teammates in an engineering class I took in high school. He's been serving for around a year and a half, and he's doing really well out here in the UK! It's such a small world!
We've had some great experiences this last week here in London North, and I thought I'd share my favorite. Just yesterday we had the impression to go finding in this one park near the borders of our area and stop by some former investigators afterwards. We went to the park and went finding for a little bit, and then we went to contact the former investigators. As we arrived at the door to the block of flats where one of them lived, someone offered to let us in since he was coming in anyway. After he let us in, he asked us who we were looking for. When we told him we were looking for D, and looking mildly surprised he told us that he was D. He invited us into his flat and we had a great lesson with him about the Book of Mormon. MIRACLE! Always always always follow promptings!
Feel free to write me! Hope you're all staying warm back in the States!

Funnies of the Week:
A bus passed us the other day with an advertisement: "I <3 the Book of Mormon!"
One of our recent converts was telling us that teachers back in Eastern Europe teach kids that the USA is like the moon - they know it's there, they know it's beautiful, and they know they're never going to get there.
We were passing by this store selling Christmas decorations, and one of the signs we saw stood out to us: "Eat, drink, and be merry".
Fun fact: there's no single English accent. Depending on where you are in England, you'll hear different accents. There aren't too many differences between the accents, but if you listen closely, you can tell which part of the UK people are from.
