We had moves calls last night!
I'm staying in Chelmsford!! But we have
another big change-up! Elder Crowder will be leaving for Grays
tomorrow, so I'll be getting a new companion named Elder Salisbury.
Elder Lindsay will stay in Maldon and is getting a new companion as
well - my previous companion Elder Chu. They're going to be great
together! Elder Salisbury will be my companion!! CRAZY AWESOME!!!
This has been another crazy busy week, but it's been amazing as well!
We've had more miracles with Scott and Lisa this week! We went to
their home with a member from the Maldon ward on Tuesday, and it was
amazing! Scott's sister, Emma, opened up during the lesson and told
Scott how much of a difference she'd seen in him since he began
investigating the gospel just a few weeks ago! Hopefully she begins to
feel the Spirit as well when we continue visiting! We invited him to
come to a baptism this past Saturday for two boys in the ward, and he
loved it! After the service was over, we pulled him aside into a room
with a member and taught him about baptism, and he accepted our
invitation to be baptized on June 11th! MIRACLE!! He's getting super
involved with all of the ward activities as well, so we're happy and
excited that he's making good new friends in the ward!
We've seen some really good progress with a less active member family
this week. We visit them pretty regularly, but on Tuesday we brought
the Elder's Quorum President with us, and he got on really well with
Bobby, the father. He was also really good at helping to resolve
Bobby's concern, and he arranged for Bobby to have a meeting with the
Bishop so they could resolve the concern. Later in the week, Elder
Crowder and Elder Lindsay helped them have a family home evening, and
they really felt the Spirit and really enjoyed that. We're happy to
see our relationship grow with them, and we're excited that they're
starting to progress!
Tina's made some progress this week as well! She's been really
difficult to get a hold of, but it turns out it's because her phone is
broken, so she'll be getting a new one on Friday. We taught her the
Stop Smoking Lesson last Friday, and it went really well! We just
followed up with her today, and it's working!! We're so happy and
excited for her!
We also had Zone Training Meeting this week, and it was really good!
The trainings were really helpful, the goals were good and easy to
set, and the departing missionaries gave some really nice testimonies.
I'm so happy to be a missionary! Sometimes it's hard, but as I look
back I realize how much I love being a missionary! I love that I get
to focus all day every day on sharing with others the thing that's
brought me and so many other people so much happiness. I love how a
simple, heartfelt testimony shared with a complete stranger on the
street can bring the Spirit so strongly into a conversation. I love
this gospel and I know it's true.
Hope everybody's had an amazing week! Love you and hope you have another one!
