This week, we had a world-wide
Missionary Broadcast, and it was
AWESOME!! The entire broadcast was based around the theme: "Teach
Repentance and Baptize Converts". It changed the way I thought about
teaching investigators, and I hope to remember and apply everything I
learned. We also realized during the video that Bishop Fu's son, Elder
Fu, was in the broadcast! Elder Bednar and other General Authorities
discussed with missionaries serving in Utah during the broadcast, and
Elder Fu was one of them! Small world!
One super big highlight of the week: R gave his first talk on Sunday!
He spoke about how the Church has helped him, and he wrote it almost
all on his own! He did such a good job!!!
We weren't able to see C and J this week because C has been sick, but
A, the member on the Relief Society Presidency who helped them at
church last week, was still able to take J to church yesterday. She
told J that she was going to speak at church, so J wanted to come hear
what she was going to say. She gave a great talk on missionary work,
and she talked about a great book called "The Power of Everyday
Missionaries" (or something similar). I'll be sure to read that when I
return, it sounds like it'll be really helpful!
K has done really well this week! We had a great lesson with him on
Thursday - the member that was with us really helped answer his
questions about the Great Apostasy, the Restoration, and what the Book
of Mormon was and how we have it today. Members can be super helpful!
We could feel the Spirit so strongly in that lesson, and we could tell
K could feel it too. We invited K to be baptized, and he said yes! He
wasn't sure about the baptismal date we extended though, because he
wants his family to be there for his baptism and they won't be able to
come on the day we proposed. Because of that, his baptism will
probably be in March, but we still need to discuss it with him and our
leaders. He really is doing so good though! We keep running into him
in town center now, and he loves talking with us when we bump into
him. One thing we love about him is that he stays on top of things -
he calls us when he needs a ride to church, he's writing down the
questions he has about what he's read, and he called us this morning
to ask us about a "Building Your Own Business" class that was
announced yesterday in sacrament meeting. We love him!!
We have a SUPER packed week ahead of us, and we're planning ahead
better. We're looking forward to a good week filled with finding new
friends to teach!!
I just signed up for another driving test on Wednesday! PRAY FOR ME!!!
Love you all! Hope you have fun with all the snow!!

Funnies of the Week:
We stopped by Caroline because she wasn't feeling well, and she really
appreciated it. She said she needed to write a thank you letter to the
Osmonds or whoever runs the Mormon Church.
We were complimenting A for inviting J to come to church. Our text
conversation went something like this:
"Thou art the best!" - us
"Yea verily" - Andrea

View from the train on our way to the
Worlwide Missionary Broadcast - so beautiful!
The sister missionaries from Aylesbury -
Sister Top is from Norway and Sister Apiyo is from Uganda.
A recent convert and good friend from Norwich came to visit us this Saturday! She brought us candy and a book for me to learn Mandarin when I get home from my mission.
