We had an awesome zone training meeting this week! I especially loved one of our DLC goals, which came from a song called "Build me up, Buttercup!" The goal is that when we begin planning each night, evaluate how we did with that day's Buttercup goal and then setting one specific Buttercup goal for the coming day. To make it more fun, we're supposed to sing the "Build me up, Buttercup!" song occasionally to remind ourselves to work towards achieving our Buttercup goal. It's really helped me to focus on one thing at a time instead of being overwhelmed by trying to accomplish all of my goals all at the same time, and it's helped me to make achieving my goals more fun and motivating. I'm grateful for inspired mission leaders for coming up with creative, helpful goals!
We had more miracles happen this week! Our mission arranged to have a mission-wide fast on Saturday, and every missionary in the mission went finding from 1:30 pm to 3 pm. As Elder Moulton and I went out talking with on the street, it started to pour with rain. As we were talking with one particular woman, we suddenly saw the daughter of a member walk up with a pair of umbrellas. Her mother had seen we were getting soaked, so she'd sent her daughter to give us umbrellas to keep ourselves dry. This was just a small tender mercy, but it strengthened my testimony that Heavenly Father is looking out for us and that He often helps us by working through those around us.
Another miracle came near the end of our finding time as a mission on Saturday. It was nearly 3 pm, and we'd planned on going to a particular street to knock some doors. Since we didn't have a lot of time, we decided to knock on the doors we were right next to. We had a great conversation on the very first door we knocked, and we set a return appointment for Tuesday! Miracle!!
We had a good with our investigator, J, from Ghana this week. He has a very strong concern about Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ being separate people, and it was so tempting to pull out all the scriptures I knew and just prove to him that they were separate and distinct beings, but what ended up helping him the most was simply telling him that he could know our message was true by reading the Book of Mormon and praying about it.
We had another good experience yesterday when we stopped by the home of a recent convert, M. Her grandson, R, is investigating the Church right now, but her daughter hasn't expressed much interest. We were able to have a good conversation with her daughter about the Church though, and she may come to one of the stake activities coming up, so we're hoping and praying for her!
Hope everybody's had a great week!

We baked brownies for some members on the same day we were fasting. Never has it been so tempting to break our fast early.
There is a recent convert that taught us a few yoga poses -

Emma from Norwich came to visit!
We had fun learning more Chinese and eating pizza in the rain.
