This has been one of the most amazing weeks of my mission! It's so incredible to see all the miracles that just happen one after the other.
This week started out with transfers on Wednesday, and we took a train in order to switch areas and companions. We got the bus just in time, and we were able to find out way through the London Underground, a bunch of underground trains, to get to our station. I found my new companion pretty quickly once we got there, and it actually turns out that I met him during the last transfer.
His name is Elder Jentzsch (pronounced "Yench"), and he's from Germany, just like my first companion! We get along really well together, and we're looking forward to a transfer of miracles!
Once we found each other, I got an Oyster Card, which is a pass to ride any London bus and certain trains in the Underground. That's how we get around here in London for the most part: buses and trains. The exciting part about that is that I get to ride those famous red double-decker buses! I'm looking at one right now, but I haven't gotten a good picture yet, and for some reason the computer I'm using won't read my memory card, so I can't send any pictures this week. I'll be sure to send them all next week!
We actually serve with two other companionships in London North - the other elders and sisters are Elder Lauriola (Italian), Elder Eliason (South Dakota), Sister Jensen (Utah) and Sister Carvalho (Brazilian). We share a 4-man flat with the other elders. It's a lot of fun work with other missionaries in the same area, and these are some amazing missionaries to work with.
SOOO many miracles have happened since I arrived. The day I transferred into the new area, we set up a stand in a big public place and began to talk to people as they passed by. This was actually some of the best finding I've ever had so far. We had a few people come up to us and ask us questions, and we were able to stop some people and get them very interested in hearing more. In particular, there was one man I stopped, R, who was really good. He listened to what I said, accepted the answers I gave to his questions, and committed to read from the Book of Mormon. I couldn't get his contact information, but it was still an amazing experience for me to meet someone so prepared for the gospel.
We had a day absolutely packed full of miracles on Thursday. We got a bunch of very promising potential investigators, we found a "lost sheep" (a less-active member whose address has been lost or is unknown) and her non-member husband, and we got a new investigator! My sister, Hermana McOmber, was absolutely right: miracles happen when you talk to EVERYONE!!!
There's one investigator we have, N, who is simply a man of miracles. He's made some bad choices before, but he's completely turned his life around. The missionaries talked to him several years ago, and he didn't see the missionaries again until a few months ago when my companion and another missionary found him again. The big turning point for him and the gospel was reading the Book of Mormon. He says that after 36 years, he's finally happy again. We met with him last week, and he really opened up to us and committed to come to Church. He almost didn't come to Church since he was still asleep when we came to pick him up, but after my companion and I prayed that he'd be able to come, he woke up, saw us waving at his window, got dressed as fast as he could, and we all took off for Church. We got there just in time for sacrament meeting and for my talk, and it seemed like he really enjoyed all of the meetings at Church. Later that evening, we had an impression to go visit him again, and because we did, we were able to save our relationship with him.
I love being a missionary! I love the gospel and the peace and happiness it brings! I love the feeling I get when I do what Heavenly Father wants me to do!
Hope you all had a great week! Can't wait to show everyone the pictures next week of London! Hope to hear from everyone soon!

Funny of the Week:
The day I arrived in the area, I got a call from the Bishopric to give a brief 5-minute talk to introduce myself to the ward and to comment on one of my favorite General Conference talks. Later in the week, I got another call, and the 5-minute talk was extended to 10 minutes. And then because I ran out of time to prepare it, I had to improvise my talk and ended up only speaking for 5 minutes. Oops. Still learning!
