Week 10: September 8: Spiders everywhere!

I'm running out of time this week, so this is going to be a very short letter!

We found a new family this week! We're really excited because this is exactly what we've been praying for!

I don't think I've mentioned them yet, but spiders here in England are pretty bad. They're EVERYWHERE. We had a Ward Picnic near the beginning of my mission, and I can remember setting my bag down in the grass only to find five minutes later a bunch of spiderwebs all over it. I'm almost daily walking into some giant spiderweb as I go down an alley or by some trees. The spiders here are big too. If you don't believe me, look at the pictures I sent. Those spiders are about the size of my palm. I don't think I've been more paranoid in my entire life after we found that second spider in the kitchen.

Again, really sorry that I don't have a lot to say this week.

Hope to write more next week!

Much missionary love,

Elder McOmber

Funnies of the Week:

Apparently, I said a prayer out loud in my sleep the other night. I think I'm getting the hang of being a missionary.

We were helping out one of the members in the ward when he thought we were locked out of the house. He started getting a ladder for us to climb out of his backyard when we realized the back door was unlocked.

Lots of roundabouts and very few intersections here in England.  Just finished grocery shopping and waiting for the bus.

Lots of classy cars here

Elder Zarse showed me this building right around the corner from our flat before he left, I thought it was pretty cool.

We were cleaning out the flat last week when I noticed something in a dark little corner in the bathroom.  I shoved the vacuum there only to see that little dark something MOVE!  We caught the spider - that's a clementine next to it!

Wonderful surprise walking into our kitchen and finding another one of these little guys sitting right next to the dishes - ROUND 2 - we caught it!

Fast Sunday Matching Ties!  Thanks Nick and Dad!
