Week 29: First Snow - Week of Miracles!

January 19, 2015

This has been a pretty awesome week here in London North! The biggest thing is that we had a baptism in our ward this week! He miraculously found the sisters and was super prepared for everything they taught him, and he was baptized 3 weeks later! There was a less-active member who happened to come to Church that day, and I heard her saying to the man who was baptized that she didn't think it was a coincidence that she came to Church on the day of his baptism. MIRACLE!

This week, I also prepared a training for District Meeting, and I only had one or two days to prepare it. I was really nervous for it, especially because I'd only done one real training before, but I could definitely see how I was guided and led to get it done well and on time.

It's a little random, but it actually snowed a little bit on Saturday! We don't really get much snow here in London, and my companion, who's been here for 1.5 years, said that this was the first snow he'd seen since he arrived. Super cool! (It only snowed for a few minutes, but they just dumped salt and sand on the sidewalks. They haven't been to Utah.)

Missionary work is not always easy, but it is most definitely worth it. I love being a missionary! I know that the Book of Mormon is true, and I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet. I love this Church, and I know it is true.

Cheers!

Funnies of the Week:

N's mother bought him what she thought was a pretty cool shirt this week - she thought the picture on it was a pit bull that looked a lot like his pit bull - so he was wearing it when we stopped by Saturday. It's a big pajama shirt with a picture small white kitten surrounded by a heart.

We were just taking a bus back to our flat from a place called Archway when we ran into the rest of our missionary district on the bus.

We had a Best Two Years moment when one of our new investigators (that hosed us) actually texted us a few days later and asked if we could meet up. MIRACLE!
