Hey everyone!
I only have a few minutes this week, so I'll try to keep it short.
I guess I should start off with the nice weather. I heard it was supposed to be really cold, rainy, and cloudy all the time over here, but it's been the complete opposite. Apparently, this could be the hottest summer in England for 300 years. The temperature's usually between 70 and 90 degrees F, and the sun's out almost all day long. We've had a few thunderstorms, but those were a few weeks ago. It's actually kind of funny - because we're having such nice weather, I can start conversations with people just by talking about the weather. I hear the weather's going to get a lot colder and rainier during the winter, but the weirdest part is that we're at such a high latitude that the sun will rise at about 8 am and set around 4 pm. I wonder if that's really true, but I guess I'll find out in a few months.
I've started getting a little homesick for my friends and family this week, but getting more involved in working has helped me overcome that. An exchange this week with one of the Zone Leaders, Elder Butterfield, really helped me get over it. He also really helped me figure out how to talk to people better. We'd gone tracting around the Bishop's neighborhood, and he was able to help me figure out what I could do better after I really messed up at the first few houses we tracted. He helped me feel more in control of the conversation when I talk to people, which has really helped me. I remember that I was able to just sit down and talk to some random person on the bus and strike up a conversation like we were best friends. It wasn't perfect, but it was much better than I could've done before I came out here.
Speaking of how things have changed since I got out here, I thought it might be fun to talk about the kinds of things I'm eating out here on my own. Dinner appointments are awesome (as long as you use proper etiquette and come hungry), but often we just eat back at the flat. We don't have much time to cook, so we just heat up frozen food most of the time. I thought I wouldn't like it, but it actually turns out to be pretty good. We usually have frozen pizza or frozen rice, but sometimes we experiment with lasagna or fish sticks. Today we tried to make cookies from scratch, but then we realized we didn't have any measuring cups, so we had to give up the idea.
I'm pretty sure I already said this before, but the members here are AWESOME. One really good example is Mani, a recent convert from India. Just last week, because he's always so enthusiastic about baptism and helping the missionaries, we asked if he could help us teach one of our investigators who's having a hard time committing to a baptismal date. Even though he had work, and even though we told him it'd be ok if he didn't come, he took half the day off work and came to help us teach. After he helped us teach there, he found out we were about to head out with another member to teach someone half an hour away, and he told us that he'd take us instead. Even though this investigator was having an absolutely horrible week, he was able to make her smile. I can remember her asking us, "Where did you find this guy?" And THEN after he drove us back, he bought us chocolate. Yup. AWESOME.
So that's pretty much all I have time for this week. Love you all and hope to hear from you soon!

Funny of the Week:
EVERYONE is somehow related in this ward. I'm not even kidding.
I GOT MAIL!!!
(He only gets to the Mission Home once or twice a transfer - so it is best to send things to his actual flat (apartment) address.)
Wearing my special "Fast Sunday Tie"!
(Nick, Mark and Spencer all wear the same matching tie on Fast Sundays)
Loom Bands
These are really popular in England right now. The two on the left are Elder Zarse's, but I made the blue and white one on the right. It smells like blueberries and coconuts! I am wondering if I should send it back to Utah....?
